Personal, Office, Vehicle Hygiene
All staff & drivers maintain high levels of hygiene through regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer. Anyone who enters our office is required to use hand sanitizer and a mask before entry. All provisions to the office are sanitized on arrival. Vehicles are cleaned internally upon use by drivers and the entire vehicle is regularly by a COVID-19 safe cleaner.
Keeping spaces clean and safe
Staff use clean and disinfected uniforms. All shared items & furniture are sprayed with disinfectant. Additional site cleaning and disinfecting occurs weekly with a contracted COVID-19 safe cleaner. Our drivers and offsiders are trained in the use of and comply with the National guidelines on COVID19 work safe practices including the use of PPE (facemask and gloves), hand sanitisation, vehicle cleaning, shared space cleaning, and personal hygiene. Sanitisation procedures are followed by all staff for shared space, equipment and common touch areas including vehicle refuelling and vehicle touch points, according to the company protocols in place since May 2020. When outside the vehicle, face masks and gloves are in use. We have a company specific statement of compliance with the Queensland Government Public Health Directions since May 2020.
All office spaces comply with physical distancing regulations. Please respect drivers keeping to these regulations when collecting and delivering a load. Our drivers and offsiders are trained in the use of and comply with the National guidelines on COVID19 work safe practices including safe physical distancing when loading and unloading, and receiving goods and consignment materials.
Collection & Delivery
Our drivers and offsiders are trained in the use of and comply with the National guidelines on COVID19 work safe practices including the use of PPE (facemask and gloves), hand sanitisation, vehicle cleaning, shared space cleaning, and personal hygiene. We require drivers and offsiders to use paid accommodation on their long distance journeys to afford rest, better hygiene and stopping for meals in accordance with basic fatigue management. Food allowances provide drivers and offsiders to prepare their own meals or purchase them from truck stops along the way. Whilst drivers and offsiders can choose to stay in the vehicle and use the roadhouse facilities, we prefer them to use pre-paid, booked hotel or cabin accommodation. We take our fatigue management seriously.
Checking & Identifying
Just as our company monitors drivers for fatigue management and for speed & load control, we also monitor for illness. Our drivers, offsiders and staff are trained in self-monitoring using a symptom checklist. Should symptoms arise, the employee or contractor is asked to take a virus test & provide evidence of the results. If a test returns positive, the person will remain in self-isolation until a negative result is returned, and the rest of the known associates are tested and return a negative result. This is in line with our Covid-19 Safe Business Plan under Workcover Queensland regulations.
